Day surgery for rest

Mary Backhouse | JAN 31

What a week it has been!

I was waiting patiently in a hospital bed for my name to be called.

It was during this time that my realization of how my Yoga Nidra practice helped me to be patient.

I made myself as comfortable as possible.

Known as "settling" if preparing for Yoga Nidra.

I was comfortable to be still. To allow myself to rest and turn my mind inward to thoughts and trainings of both my Yoga and Yoga Nidra practice.

I was taking my practice from my mat, into the world.

I was also observing others in the room and overheard a lady say she couldn't lay in bed because she isn't used to sitting down for long!

The nurse told me many women ask if they could stay and hide here for a couple of days so they could rest and escape the world.

Does this sound like you?

A busy woman, always doing. Always thinking, planning, serving.

What would people say or think if you sit and rest?

Do you see rest as a waste of time, or a beautiful way to clear the mind and become more productive?

Yoga Nidra allows you to rest, escape, recharge.

I see you often in my daily life. The woman that rarely stops and often feels tired.

My dream is to guide you with my voice through Yoga Nidra.

From the comfort of your own home.

Assisting you to prioritize rest as much as any other appointment you have in your diary.

A free online via Zoom introduction to Yoga Nidra is developing.

coming soon.

With rest we grow,

Mary
